Future CDMMEA Festival Fee Structure

To: CDMMEA General Membership From : CDMMEA Executive Board Re: Fee Increases for Junior/Senior Festivals for 2023/2024 Calendar Year In an effort to continue to provide quality festivals at the Junior and Senior High levels, the CDMMEA board voted in favor of raising fees beginning next year for the 2023/2024 School Year. While we understand that budgets are still being finalized amongst our own school districts we wanted to be transparent as a board to make you aware of these changes with time to plan. In a strategic plan aligned by MMEA, CDMMEA is working closely with all other districts within Massachusetts to align ourselves together with regards to our fee schedule as well as the audition process. Increases for the 2024/25 School year are as follows: Audition Fees: Both the Junior and Senior Festival audition fee will increase by 5 dollars. 2024/2025 Audition Fee: $15 Participation Fees: Both the Junior and Senior Festival will see increases the next calendar year. Junior will move up $2 to $20, while Senior will increase to $25, showing a $5 increase. We as a board decided to move Junior to $20 for the next 2 calendar years and then meet the Senior payment for the following school year of $25. This decision was based on an increase over 2 years so it’s not an abrupt rise in costs all at once. 2024/2025 Participation Fee: Senior: $25 Junior: $20 (2023-2024 & 2024-2025) $25 (2025-2026) Audition Late Fees: Both the Junior and Senior Festivals will see late fees assessed by a per student basis and will see increases to $25 per student at the Senior level and $20 per student at the Junior level. 2024/2025 Late Fee Senior $ 25 (per student) Junior $ 20 (per student) |
