JUNIOR FESTIVAL (2024-2025) 2024-2025 Junior Festival Audition List 2024-2025 Junior Audition Cutoff Scores (available after auditions in February) JUNIOR AUDITION SCALE REQUIREMENTS - All scales must be memorized Flute | Oboe | Bassoon | Clarinet | Bass Clarinet Alto Saxophone | Tenor Saxophone | Baritone Saxophone Trumpet | French Horn | Trombone | Baritone (BC) | Baritone (TC) | Tuba Violin | Viola | Cello | String Bass | Mallets | Junior Vocal Jazz Guitar | Jazz String Bass | Jazz Piano | Jazz Vibe **All jazz players must play the scale listed at the top of their jazz music, one major scale plus the appropriate chromatic scale. Jazz Rhythm students do not play a chromatic scale. JUNIOR VOCAL ACCOMPANIMENT MP3s (2024-2025) **These are 30 second excerpts (due to copyright restrictions) to help figure out how the accompaniment will begin during the audition process. Students will need to purchase the CD in order to practice with the full accompaniment. All timpani, snare drum, and mallet musicians will be required to play on the following instruments: Triangle, Tambourine, Crash Cymbals, Suspended Cymbal, Bass Drum Students are encouraged to bring their own mallets/beaters as well as tambourine, triangle, and crash cymbals. Auxiliary solo will be posted in September 2024. SNARE RUDIMENTS The Senior Festival Snare Drum Rudiments have been updated to match the Percussive Arts Society International Drum Rudiments. Students will perform 2 (adjudicator's choice):
