9th Grade/Junior Festival Update

   The CDMMEA Executive Board, after careful consideration and deliberation over the period of two years, has decided to allow students in grade 9 to audition for and participate in the CDMMEA Junior High School Festival beginning in the 2020 2021 school year.

Students in grade 9 who are;

* Accepted for the Sr. Festival may not audition for the Jr. Festival, even if they are unable or decide not to participate in the Sr. Festival.

* Auditioning for the Junior Festival do not need to have auditioned in the fall for the Senior Festival. They may audition for the Junior Festival only.

Students in grade 9 who auditioned for the Senior Festival but were not accepted to participate in the Sr. Festival may register to audition for the Jr. Festival.

9th grade audition limits for the Junior Festival will be approximately half of the audition limits for Grade 7 and Grade 8 combined .  You can figure out approximate numbers using the current handbook guidelines posted above).
