FYI......Please note; as stated in the updated CDMMEA Handbook, student musicians that double audition and qualify for jazz band will automatically be placed into the jazz band regardless of their other audition.

All the Senior Festival Scale requirements were modified in 2018.
Band, String & Jazz only.
Please note: Senior Jazz Bass players do not play the chromatic scale.
This is an error on the score sheet and will be revised ASAP.

Scales are still played from memory – These are instrument specific.

Students will be required to learn all major scales
(NOT minor or jazz scales) and the chromatic scale,
as required & listed by MMEA’s All-State Festival,
please visit

http://www.massmea.org/newsevents/all-state-festival-concert/auditions

the printable scale sheets are located at the bottom of the page.
Please note.....
CD is using the Jazz Vibe Scales, minus the modes, for the CD Mallet percussion scales.
